Diverse Homology Pavilion-Cultural: Transformation of Nantou City NT33 & NT34

The “Diverse Homology Pavilion – Cultural” is one of the buildings within the Nantou Ancient City Museum Cluster. Originally composed of two village-in-the-city residential buildings constructed in the 1980s, the project has been transformed into a vertically oriented “art museum on the upper floors.”

Unlike conventional museums, it offers an unconventional circulation route and spatial experience—visitors can move vertically through the building, exploring multiple intersecting and branching paths, and encountering a series of diverse and characterful exhibition spaces. Ascending further, they reach the independent rooftop garden of NT34, where they can overlook the distinctive vibrancy and everyday life of the ancient city.
