Emerging in recent years as a national key development area, Xiong’an values future-proof and forward-looking planning and development approaches. Vanke Green Research and Development Center in Xiong’an is a 3,000 m2 display complex located in the 10,000 m2 Phase I Demonstrative Area, a zero carbon demonstrative area with self-contained energy recycle system both aboveground and underground.
Inspired by the traditional Chinese concept of round sky and square earth, as well as the Japanese rock garden, we create continuous interface and experiential circulation to inject modernity into the traditional style, highlighting the green mountains and blue water desired by people. With interactive design of zero carbon technologies including rainwater, solar energy, geothermal energy, bio-energy etc., concise and modern spaces are created where people can linger around, enjoy the view, stay over or tour around, maximizing the visual and personal experience of different users.
Thus,
the project seamlessly integrates the past with future, routines with rites, technology
with art, heaven with earth, man with nature.
