Be Stranded [abandoned houses, but it is growing around and inside the tree.

A words as its shape, the abandoned of one life is often the re-birth of another; and the re-birth may also destroy another. In Chinese philosophy we use the five elements, equal grammar of inter-system, explain all the self-looping to maintain the ecological balance of natural selection rule. This choice brings confusion, but also of hope: Nature is always able to recover after the disasters tenaciously, and manage growing into another alternative nature. 

The idea of my work comes from an unusual imagination of a usual construction site and re-using its wastes abandoned during the construction process. A resting area/installation is a design-built directly out of the plywood FORMWORK wastes of any construction site, for the public to sit, rest and enjoy a cup of coffee. On one side, it is built with abandoned materials, but another form of life will gradually take over and climb up soon…. a variety of life here comes across quietly without disturbing each other.

    It reveals impermanence of all things and life, but we do not need to worry too much. And please, try to enjoy a cup of coffee of the moment!
