On September 30, 2026, Keqiao Art Journey opened at Shili Hutang along Jianhu Lake in Shaoxing. Co-curated by Liu Xiaodu and Cui Can, the exhibition brings together over a hundred creators from diverse disciplines to develop site-specific works in collaboration with local villagers. Invited to participate, Liu Heng + NODE Architecture & Urbanism presents「 V-Garden」.

V-Garden began with an unexpected climb onto a rooftop. From above the roofline, Jianhu Lake, Kuaiji Mountain, and the surrounding village revealed a landscape quite different from the view at ground level. The project seeks to turn this moment of discovery into a path for walking, pausing, and taking in the distant scenery. Using scaffolding as its primary building element, a temporary walkway rises above the rooftops. As visitors ascend the steps and turn back along the route, the landscape of mountains, water, and village unfolds with each movement, bringing the traditional Jiangnan garden experience of wandering and viewing into the air.
